Best fighting style for 6ft med build man to learn < 2 years?
Which fighting style is best for each of these 3 scenarios.
a) 1 on 1 vs. a guy of similiar size in Bar/Street fight.
b) 3 on 1 vs. 3 untrained aggressive smaller guys (youth gang)
c) 3 on 1 same scenario but one has a knife (& you can't run)

Overall Muay Thai is a great martial art that focuses on striking. In most street fights or really any fight that involves a person who doesn't really know any martial art will most likely use punches and kicks. While grappling might work well in a 1 vs 1 it would just be easier to stand up and duke it out with him. In a 3 vs 1 situation you don't want the other guys to get close to you so your best bet is to keep them away with you striking and if your good hopefully knock them out. Krav Maga on the otherhand is a great martial art for self-defense. I gave this one to C because one thing it focuses on is defense against weapon and gun attacks. It could also work for B.

Training will also cover situational awareness in order to develop an understanding of one's surroundings and potentially threatening circumstances before an attack is launched. It may also cover "Self Protection": ways to deal with potentially violent situations, and physical and verbal methods to avoid violence whenever possible.
Classes will feature a warm up to raise the heart rates, moving on to stretching. Various techniques are then shown which end in a retzev (fluid defense/attack)."
