Football Hockey Where can I sell a big selection of baseball cards, hockey, basketball and football cards that have a value on
I am acquiring boxes of baseball, hockey, football and basketballs cards from my brother-in-law, where can I go to sell these items? I have noticed on ebay the value is not there for the valuable cards. Is there another site to go to sell these items. My brother-in-law also wants me to sell his coin collection....any ideas? Thank you in advance for any help. I do not know the manufacture of these cards or the years. My understanding they are old and there are many boxes of these items. Any help would be appreicated.
i would look for local shops in your area that buy sports cards and/or coins. you might be able to negotiate with the owners there for a higher price. i would also have the collections appraised, so that way you know what you should be getting. good luck!

College ice hockey is one of the fastest, most entertaining sports on earth. Ann Arbor is home of the University of Michigan, the program that has won more collegiate hockey championships than anyother. Step inside historic Yost Arena and you`ll witness fast-paced end-to-end skating, heart-pounding body checks, and frozen rubber pucks shot at nearly 100 miles per hour. Yet in Ann Arbor, the action is not confined to the ice: The loud and passionate Wolverines fans truly become part of the action long before the first puck drops. Through creative chants and interaction with the Michigan Ice Hockey Pep Band, the crowd helps create the best, most imposing home ice atmosphere in the college game. Michigan`s storied ice hockey program goes beyond the extensive list of premiere players and coaches that have worn the maize and blue---from the legendary Red Berenson to many of today`s National Hockey League stars. From winning the first ever National Championship in collegiate ice hockey to playing before the largest crowd in hockey history to date (inside a football stadium!), the University of Michigan boasts a long and proud tradition of hockey excellence and excitement. Michigan Ice Hockey is a fan`s ultimate guide, telling the story of the program from its first, humble days of skating outdoors on the frozen Huron River, to today`s competitions on the best rinks in the nation. It covers everything from leading scorers to tournament results to NHL player alumni. It`s a love story for those conquering heroes on skates, the traditions and trivia that surround them, and the fans that drive them. And it`s the story of a university, an alumni base, and an entire community with a passion for pucks. Greg Nelson is a professional writer and author of M Is for Michigan.

Hockey Or Football?
Artificial Football Pitch suitable for all weather conditions
Grass sports pitches were the popular and only pitches used until some decades ago. They have been overtaken by artificial sports pitches. Artificial sports surfaces have become a popular choice for sports such as football, hockey, tennis, netball and are even used in athletics tracks and Multi Use Games Areas where a variety of sports can be played. The extensive use of artificial grass particularly as a football pitch is the result of numerous benefits offered by them.
However, it was not the case initially. In the 1980s, some football clubs in Europe like QPR's Loftus Road, Luton Town's Kenilworth Road, Oldham Athletic's Boundary Park installed artificial surfaces, which they called plastic pitch. However, owing to their hard surface, the artificial grass surface caused more injuries to the players and so their use was banned by English FA in 1988.
Today, it is altogether a different scenario. The advancements made in this field have removed all the drawbacks of artificial pitches. For instance, an artificial football pitch offers the same playing characteristics as that of a natural grass soccer field. However, unlike the latter, it can be used in all weather conditions, like long dry summers, frozen winters, or heavy rainfall, owing to its excellent drainage system. An artificial football pitch requires minimal maintenance when compared to a natural grass sports field.
The artificial turf for a football pitch is made up of polyethylene or polypropylene fibres lubricated with silicone. The synthetic fibres of a football pitch are in-filled with sand and rubber granules to create a surface that is durable, porous, and consistently uniform. A football pitch also features a 'shock pad” underneath the top layer which offers cushioning to players against injuries when they slide or fall on the surface.
Natural in appearance, skin and joint friendly, high in shock absorption, the synthetic fibres of an artificial soccer turf 'carpet' are tufted into a canvas and a layer of latex is applied on its back. This 'backing' is so strong that moles cannot dig through it.
The numerous benefits of an artificial soccer turf have compelled both FIFA and UEFA to approve the use of these synthetic sports surfaces at various levels of play. Similarly, UEFA, the European Football League has also approved playing the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Cup, the qualification matches for the World Cup, and the European Championships on artificial soccer turf.
The approval for synthetic grass came after FIFA introduced an extensive test programme in 2001. The test included parameters like ball rolling, bouncing, sliding characteristics, heat development, shock absorption, wear and tear, and many more. The artificial soccer turf passed this test and became widely accepted amongst different sports facilities of the world.
